The programme engages with young unemployed people providing them with work experience and community based projects. The Newhaven group worked with Seaford Baptist Church to re-decorate their youth lounge and also provided activities for elderly residents in two Seaford residential care homes.
One team member, Keanna, told us where she was before starting the team programme: “I wasn’t doing anything in particular, just waiting for tomorrow to come. Now I want to get a job working with animals because it is something I would really enjoy doing. I have done lots of things on the programme I would never have dreamt of doing before.
